**About the role** Uber Business Development (“BD”) team strengthens Uber position as the leading mobility and delivery platform through thoughtful, creative and impactful partnerships. Uber is looking for a Business Development Sr. Associate to join our team in France. This person will be deeply interested in building long-term successful commercial partnerships across Mobility and Delivery with high profile companies across this country and thrive in a fast-paced technology company. Successful candidates will bring a dynamic combination of IQ and EQ, an ability to think strategically and execute tactically, and strong interpersonal skills to maximize value in partnership negotiations. Someone who brings hustle in spades and is not afraid to manage multiple deals in a high-pressure, high-stakes environment. Essentially, a business developer with ambition and drive, capable of defining and implementing the functional strategy, and building partnerships to support a variety of high-priority Uber initiatives. **What You'll Do** 1\. Collaborate with regional leadership to formulate partnership strategy and identify how to deliver business priorities, as well as new business initiatives incl. big bold bets 2\. Drive progress on partnership conversations ensuring a robust, proactive deal pipeline 3\. Develop and evaluate strategic initiatives and partnership opportunities across geographies, performing a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analyses 4\. Lead and support end-to-end deal and strategic partnership process. This includes developing the partner strategy, engaging external partners, developing a mutually beneficial commercial construct, contract negotiation and implementation 5\. Collaborate with internal cross-functional partners across Operations, Product, Marketing, Legal, Comms & Policy, as well as Central and Global BD teams 6\. Develop long term, mutually beneficial relationships with senior executives of current and prospective strategic partners who assist in the delivery of Uber's growth 7\. Drive individual deal performance accountability by creating clear and measurable goals aligned with the business strategy 8\. Handle a high volume of internal and external engagements and the fast pace of our company **What You'll Need** 1\. ​​8+ years of experience in Investment Banking, PE/VC, consulting, tech organizations or strategic business development 2\. Well-rounded profile: ability to combine business, strategy, finance, analytical skills and legal concepts to lead complex, multi-faceted deals 3\. Excellent project management and organizational skills 4\. Self starter: ability to be independent, multitask, and manage time pressure in an unstructured fast-paced environment 5\. Excellent judgment, positive attitude, hustle, demonstrated history of success 6\. Fluent in French and English **Preferred Qualifications** 1\. Strong interpersonal skills which allow you to build trust and negotiate hard with partners, and adeptly manage the cross-functional coordination (product, local operations, engineering, finance, legal) required to implement deals 2\. Experience in cultivating and growing strategic business partnerships 3\. Exceptional oral and written communication skills 4\.
