**About the Role**
As a Senior Product Manager for Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Supply Optimization, you’ll lead the development of intelligent systems that maximize AV fleet efficiency and enable rapid international expansion while working with cross-functional teams to create scalable solutions that drive AV growth. You’ll build technology that optimizes fleet operations and vehicle availability, addressing the diverse set of challenges across charging, maintenance, and diverse geographic deployments and vehicle capabilities.
**What the Candidate Will Do**
In this role, you will:
1. Lead the development of intelligent fleet orchestration systems that optimize when vehicles go online/offline, maximize fleet utilization, and balance rider and driver experience
2. Build first-of-its-kind playbooks to bring AV technology to market, including data-driven frameworks for evaluating new geographies for AV deployment
3. Define and execute the product roadmap for fleet optimization initiatives that directly impact business metrics and operational efficiency
4. Partner with data science teams to develop ML models that predict optimal fleet positioning, charging patterns, and maintenance windows
5. Collaborate with operations teams to translate real-world fleet management challenges into scalable product solutions
**Basic Qualifications**
1. 5+ years of product management experience with a focus on building complex optimization platforms
2. Strong technical background with a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
3. Ability to break down complex workflows, identify critical bottlenecks, and develop systematic approaches to prioritization
4. Strong communication skills with a proven track record of distilling complex algorithmic concepts into clear narratives that drive stakeholder alignment and decision-making
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
Preferred Qualifications
1. Prior AV experience
2. Entrepreneurial spirit demonstrated through identifying and executing on opportunities in ambiguous problem spaces - you'll need to navigate undefined areas, build conviction through data, drive cross-functional alignment, and balance strategic thinking with pragmatic execution
3. Experience at a high-growth company scaling optimization systems
4. Proven track record working collaboratively with technical and non-technical team members up to and including the executive-level
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$190,000 per year - USD$211,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$190,000 per year - USD$211,000 per year.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
