**About the Role**
Our Public Policy team is responsible for working with policymakers, regulators, and third parties to make the positive case for Uber as a platform and explain its value to society. We aim to build lasting relationships with decision-makers so they understand the benefits of our services and allow us to grow our offerings.
The Policy team sits at the core of Uber. We constantly interact with all lines of business and functions to make sure our work supports the company’s priorities.
##### **What you'll Do**
You will work in one of the world’s most-talked about tech companies and get the chance to work on legislation that shapes Europe's digital future, the future of work, and urban sustainability. You will be expected to:
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities linked to EU legislation;
- Develop and deliver advocacy campaigns, events and engagement strategies. This includes managing trade associations and third-party advocates, and drafting impactful policy content;
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with external stakeholders to stay ahead of policy developments
- Collaborate with teams throughout the business - including Operations, Communications, Legal and Marketing - to provide strategic advice and ensure alignment.
_**What We’re Looking For**_
- An agile and strategic mind: The Uber policy team manages multiple policy fields. You must be adaptable, quick-minded, and able to immerse yourself quickly into new topics. You will be the owner of your projects from start to finish (goal-setting, strategy development and execution).
- A good communicator: You should be able to articulate arguments clearly and simply, without jargon, to high-level internal and external audiences. You'll need to write well, and should be able to get into complex business issues while providing clear tailored advice to the business.
- A team-player: Success at Uber depends on the ability to organize different teams around shared goals. We’re looking for someone who is well-organized, enjoys working with others to get things done quickly, and has the ability to build trusting and long-lasting relationships, internally and externally.
- An appetite to learn and grow: Uber is a fast-paced environment where you are guaranteed to learn a lot. We are looking for someone who is able to handle uncertainty and change.
Ideally you would have over 6 years experience working with EU decision-makers and managing policy issues, either for a company, a third party, or in government.
Fluency in English (oral and written) is essential, and fluency in another European language a strong asset.
Experience in the fields of mobility, the digital economy, sustainability and future of work legislation is an advantage _**.**_
We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently. If you have the curiosity, passion, and collaborative spirit, work with us, and let’s move the world forward, together.
