**About the Role**
Uber Direct is an innovative 'Delivery as a Service' product, empowering merchants to utilize Uber Eats' extensive delivery network for seamless last-mile services. This platform connects orders from merchant apps and websites with our delivery partners, offering a streamlined solution for businesses. Uber Direct stands poised to become a significant contributor to our portfolio, representing a vital service for our existing marketplace partners and new business.
Business Operations under Uber Direct Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that collaborates with cross-regional and cross-functional stakeholders to provide smooth professional services and operational consultancy to business partners across a wide range of industries.
As an Operations Associate on the Business Operations team, you will be playing the critical role in leading a variety of money related initiatives/workstreams. You will oversee merchant experience around the payment flow including set up, monthly invoicing process, collection, return and appeasement and drive continuous improvements through process optimizations and product/feature enhancement.
This position will be reporting into Sr Business Operations Manager.
**Your Impact in Role:**
01. Execute: Lead flawless execution through hands on, supervising of contract employees, meeting external SLA and compliance requirements, navigating the various tools
02. Operations Management: Build SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) along with the framework of the policy. Identify process inefficiencies/business needs, build solutions in a scalable way, and drive operational efficiency
03. Collaborate: Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best customer experience for all sides of the marketplace involved in the partnership
04. Analyze: Quantify everything you do. Utilize data-driven decision making to understand business trends and craft your recommendations
05. Iterate: Be committed to finding the best solutions through iteration and learning from failure. Identify operational weaknesses in the money flow and build scalable processes
06. Strategize: Develop business cases, prioritization frameworks, implementation plans for scalable solutions that improve business problems touching many sides of the business under supervision of the manager
07. Ideate: Bring bold ideas to the table, whether that be testing new programs or building new products to improve the merchant experience
08. Implement: Drive forward and own the results of the programs you identify and prioritize, bringing incremental impact to the business.
09. Project Management: Identify, plan, and execute projects and root cause analyses to improve our existing processes for account management, sales, and customer programs.
10. Stakeholder Management: an important cross-functional partner to teams working with Uber Direct (Account Management, Sales, Product, Partner Engineering, Finance, CommOps, Tax, Legal, Safety, Compliance)
**The Experience You’ll Bring:**
01. 3+ years of professional work experience in a related field (consulting, operations, strategy, account management, analytics, tech, investment banking)
02. Fluency in Japanese and English
03. Professional experience in external clients facing
04. Strong Excel/Google Sheets
05. Problem solving and documentation skills with an ability to understand complex workflows
06. Demonstrated ability to assess business needs, identify solutions
07. Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence business partners and come to an agreement
08. Attention to detail with superb organization skill
09. Proactive and self-starting individual with solid teamwork skills
10. Flexibility and ability to adapt to changes quickly

05. Demonstrated ability to engage and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders in fast-paced, dynamic environments with tight deadlines.
06. Strong analytical skills to leverage data and sound business judgment for assessing process efficiency, operational viability, and financial outcomes
07. Expertise in business case development and delivering performance improvements by utilizing data insights
08. Data-driven mindset with strong business acumen to evaluate process performance and financial feasibility through analytical thinking
09. Clear and concise communicator capable of synthesizing complex information, emphasizing key insights, and delivering actionable recommendations
10. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and managing projects without complete information, adapting priorities as new data emerges
11. SQL proficiency and experience with involved data analytics
