Job Description

**About the Role** As a Sr. Engineer on the ServiceNow Platform, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and maintaining the system architecture within Uber’s ServiceNow environment. This includes seamless integrations with other systems. You will lead efforts on the platform foundations including integrations and frameworks for CICD, alerting, monitoring and observability. **What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points** \-\-\-\- What the Candidate Will Do ---- 01. Provide technical evaluation of demands against ServiceNow platform architecture, platform capabilities, and best practices. 02. Guides ServiceNow Platform design, including considerations for integration and performance 03. Design and architect ServiceNow solutions that align with business needs and industry best practices, with a strong focus on service management, workflow automation, and user experience 04. Lead the design and development of complex solutions and integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise platforms 05. Define process and SOPs for steady state work to be transitioned to L1 support (operations team) 06. Defines, guides, and supports the execution of your technical governance processes 07. Assists in developing standards and practices for maintaining the health of the ServiceNow platform 08. Supports design and implementation of a platform operating model to achieve your desired outcomes and foster end-user adoption 09. Provides technical evaluation of demands against ServiceNow platform architecture, platform capabilities, and best practices 10. Guides ServiceNow Platform design, including considerations for integration and performance 11. Assesses architecture and solution designs to support your objectives including alignment with ServiceNow implementation best practices 12. Offers guidance on prototyping and accelerating time from design to deployment 13. Provides technical guidance in platform development and platform- wide solutions 14. Advises on configuration and coding standards 15. Supports remediation of configurations not aligned to ServiceNow best practices 16. Assesses instance health (performance, manageability, usability, scalability, upgradability, and security) by conducting ServiceNow HealthScan \-\-\-\- Basic Qualifications ---- 01. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 02. 8+ years of ServiceNow design and development experience (Must have). 03. Must have hands-on development experience on the ServiceNow platform including customization of applications (ITSM, custom apps, HR, IRM & SAM). Experience in other applications such as HAM, CSM, etc would be plus. 04. Experience developing ServiceNow solutions and technical design documents from business requirements. 05. Experience working with and managing vendor resources for operations and managed services. 06. Experience with implementation of custom integrations (REST/SOAP, Flow Designer, Data Stream, Scripted REST API) 07. Ability to provide technical governance and design leadership across multiple areas of the ServiceNow platform, including: functionality, data modelling (CSDM) , developer APIs, development tools, Platform analytics 08. Experience in developing and maintaining architectural roadmaps ensuring a balance between product features and the platform’s health is maintained. 09. Ability to support and coach developers and administrators as required. Serve as a point of escalation on critical and complex incident troubleshooting. 10. Experience with defining and implementing ServiceNow/Cloud observability using AI powered workflows and platform integrations 11.
