**About the Team**
As part of Uber’s Employee and Labor Relations (ELR) team, our case managers clear the path to an empowered employee experience by fostering a healthy and productive culture. We do this by working directly with our employees to help them navigate workplace conflict and issues related to misconduct. Uber’s ELR team takes action on employee concerns using a restorative approach to case management.
**About the Role**
We are looking for a specialized case management expert with deep experience conducting workplace investigations and two-party mediations to take on a 6 months Fixed Term Contract at Uber. The ideal candidate will be able to analyze all types of employee concerns and quickly develop targeted actions that are considerate of workplace policies, the needs of our employees and their organization.
Qualified candidates for this role must have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a high-volume case management role. Top candidates will articulate how their critical thinking skills have allowed them to consistently navigate complex people and employment issues.
**The Impact You'll Have**
- Manage ELR cases within our global process involving interpersonal conflict and/or allegations of misconduct (e.g. harassment, discrimination, bullying, retaliation, etc)
- Analyze context, facts and documentation gathered within ELR’s case management process to develop balanced recommended actions that address any misconduct and restore damaged relationships
- Facilitate restorative conversations (mediated discussions) between employees with an emphasis on outcomes that repair workplace relationships
- Maintain confidential records within a shared case management tool; leverage the case management tool to identify themes affecting employee groups or subgroups and develop a measured response related to trends
- Identify the need for and lead the creation of regional/Country specific workplace best practices training and culture-related work
- Foster action-oriented relationships with HR, Employment Legal and business leaders at all levels
- Actively support, or lead ELR priority projects, including the execution of Uber's Respect@Work Prevention & Response Plan (Australia)
**The Experience You'll Bring**
**Basic Qualifications**
- Undergraduate Degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in employee relations case management, mediation, or human resources; additional years of experience awarded for relevant advanced degrees (e.g. Juris Doctor, Graduate Degree in Counseling or Mediation, etc)
- Demonstrated case management skills to include: planning, organization, attention to detail, and influencing skills and the ability to deliver multiple tasks or competing priorities within a time-sensitive environment
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills; must be an impactful and persuasive communicator at all levels of the organization
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Direct experience with conflict management techniques such as mediation and restorative practices
- Significant case management (workplace investigations) capabilities paired with a thorough understanding of APAC, particularly Australian employment principles, concepts, policies and standards
- Experience in designing and deploying PoSH employer responses to legislative change, such as Respect@Work, to ensure compliance with statutory requirements
- Proven data analytics skills with expertise in applying case precedent to inform recommendations and using case data to perform trend analysis
- Strong data management skills with a focus on enhancing team-wide data standards and practices
- The ability to mentor teammates across a global ELR team and work independently to drive results at a high level without day-to-day supervision
