The Central Operations Airport role is about driving excellent experiences for our riders across in airports and strategic venues across the spanish-speaking LATAM region. The Central Operations Manager role is a unique opportunity to grow Uber's business with a focus on Uber's airport experience. This position will provide a 360-degree view of running a business at Uber. The role offers challenges across marketplace, operations, partnerships, and close collaboration with global airport product and business stakeholders. This person will play a critical role in ensuring the pickup experience is efficient, seamless and scalable; the marketplace is optimized; and that revenue for Uber is growing consistently. This person will also support the assessment and launch of new product initiatives at airports and venues. This person is both an owner and a team player. This role calls for a combination of creative problem-solving, analytical skills, and interpersonal ability to manage strategic programs and partnerships with both airports and local government organizations. You should be as comfortable at data analysis as you are at project management. **What you'll do:** 1. **Lead regional growth**: Lead projects to increase Uber’s penetration in airports across spanish-speaking LATAM. 2. **Collaborate with leadership:** You will work closely with LATAM leadership to define and execute initiatives that increase Uber’s penetration in the region, while developing scalable solutions to address legal and operational hurdles. 3. **Data-driven decision making**: Use data to identify marketplace trends, solve operational challenges, and improve performance at top airports. 4. **Cross-functional collaboration:** You'll work with stakeholders across business development, product, marketing, operations, legal, and finance teams to scope, test, and implement new product ideas and tools for airports. 5. **Critical thinking and creative problem-solving.** Navigate high-touch, top-tier airport partners through strategic problem solving and ideation. 6. **Prioritization and optimization.** You're organized and always on top of your deadlines to ensure nothing gets missed. You'll pioneer new ways to add and improve to existing airport relationships. 7. **Develop scalable solutions and tooling for internal team members**(e.g. partner managers) to execute on experience vision and expectations and to do their work more efficiently. **What you'll need:** 1. **Education**: We encourage people from all backgrounds to apply 2. **Years of Experience/Industries:** Three or more years of professional experience in operations, strategy, or a similar role, ideally with exposure to LATAM markets. 3. **Data-Driven Mentality:** Make strategic decisions based on data analysis and interpretation. Experience getting in the weeds of data, balanced with the ability to see the big picture. (Exceptional Excel - SQL advanced) 4. **Self-Starter and Collaborative:** Proactively takes initiative while also thriving in team environments. Known for contributing strategic insights and offering support wherever necessary to drive success. 5. **Cross-functional Teamwork:** Proven ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and senior leaders to achieve shared goals, ensuring alignment and driving results across all levels. 6. **Proactive Problem-Solver:** Approaches challenges with a detail-oriented mindset, always looking for innovative solutions while anticipating potential obstacles. 7. **Strategic Thinker:** Capable of developing and executing region-wide strategies while balancing local needs and tailoring approaches to diverse markets. 8. **Project Management Expertise:** Skilled in prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
