**About the Role**
As a Claims Associate you will investigate, manage and submit claims for compensation that occur in connection with the Uber app. You will also work in collaboration with our third-party insurance partners with a focus on prompt routing and escalation of claims. You will report to our Claims Manager in Sao Paulo. Are you ready to Uber On?

**What you'll do:**
1. Investigate and submit new claims to insurance carriers by reviewing first reports of loss and supporting materials to properly identify insurance exposure and determine applicable insurance policy.
2. Demonstrate critical thinking while adhering to established claims processes.
3. Accurately respond to inquiries received from insurance carriers and other third parties.
4. Demonstrate customer obsession when communicating with claimants, drivers, passengers, witnesses, etc.
5. Follow claims handling and maintain reports on metrics and KPI compliance.
**Basic Qualifications**
1. Ability to learn and apply claims policies and procedures.
2. Effective written and verbal communication skills to provide information in a clear and concise manner and to communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
3. Extraordinary attention to detail.
4. Ability to maintain quality in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
5. High degree of adaptability to meet changing business needs.
6. Fluent in English
**Preferred Qualifications**
1. 2 years or equivalent handling insurance claims.
2. SQL/Data mining experience is a plus
