**About the Role**
Core Security Engineering at Uber is focused on making the production environment secure by default and providing industry-leading products and services to all Uber's production services and infrastructure. As a manager in the Security - Access Management (IAM) team, you will collaborate with stakeholders to build and maintain backend services and solutions supporting infrastructure systems, downstream services, and tools used across Uber.
\-\-\-\- What the Candidate Will Do ----
1. Owning critical distributed multi-cloud services at a massive scale.
2. Providing and managing systems, services, and libraries for access management and enforcement
3. Making long-term decisions on leveraging next-generation infrastructure to scale and operate foundational security services
4. Focusing on authentication/authorization and identity & access management
5. Creating foundational systems for privileged access management.
6. Create a team roadmap and manage in an agile manner.
\-\-\-\- Basic Qualifications ----
1. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
2. 8+ years of full-time Software Engineering work experience
3. 2+ years in management experience.
4. Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Go, Java, Python, C/C++).
5. Experience in designing and building security systems.
6. Knowledge of distributed systems, infrastructure systems, critical libraries, or large-scale systems.
7. Experience running and leading a geographically distributed team.
\-\-\-\- Preferred Qualifications ----
1. Prior knowledge in the cybersecurity realm.
2. Working knowledge or familiarity with Identity and Access Management or Authorization.
3. Hands-on experience with coding highly available systems.
4. Solid demonstrated leadership.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$223,000 per year - USD$248,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$223,000 per year - USD$248,000 per year.
For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$223,000 per year - USD$248,000 per year.
For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$223,000 per year - USD$248,000 per year.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
