We seek a Principal Solutions Architect to drive technology enabled innovation and process improvements that enhance customer experiences and accelerate business growth. In this role, you'll lead strategic initiatives that transform how we deliver freight solutions across multiple transportation modes.
Key job responsibilities
• Own and architect complex technical solutions for enterprise freight customers, leading 2-3 concurrent strategic initiatives
• Develop comprehensive business cases and GTM strategies for new solutions that drive significant revenue impact
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to influence roadmaps and drive development of market-ready solutions
• Lead cross-functional teams to execute on strategic initiatives that enhance customer experience and drive business growth
• Analyze project outcomes and present results to senior leadership, measuring impact against forecasted targets
• Identify opportunities to scale solutions across the freight transportation ecosystem
• Drive innovation in freight technology solutions while maintaining operational excellence
About the team
Amazon Freight is focused on developing an industry leading transportation product offering. We provide external freight customers access to the world class network and freight services used to operate Amazon’s own business. Our enterprise-ready freight offerings ensure our customers' freight is moved with the highest level of service and quality at a competitive price across multiple modes of transportation (Truckload, LTL, Intermodal and Boxtruck).- 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- 7+ years of professional or military experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience influencing innovation through a partner ecosystem with either solutions or programs that have demonstrated success at enterprise customers
- Experience in transportation/logistics technology, enterprise software solutions, or related field
- Experience leading complex technical initiatives with demonstrated business impact
- Track record of successful partnership with Product and Engineering teams
- Experience in business case development and financial modeling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities- Experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner
- Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations
- Knowledge of transportation management systems and freight technologies
- Strong understanding of API integration and enterprise software architecture
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $158,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
