Here in WW Stores Strategic Finance, our business intelligence engineers help perform statistical analysis, build data pipelines, provide support to scientists and engineers and design dashboards that are viewed by VP leadership within finance. This role has high visibility within the team and can provide many different challenges to solve, which helps team members grow their own scope and their skillsets. Our team focused on supporting three pillars of anomaly detection, forecasting and document understanding to support the different areas of finance such as financial planning, month end close, and controllership.
Key job responsibilities
* Defining architecture, design and implementation of next generation BI products/solutions and data-intensive technology solutions
* Collaborating with data scientists/ engineers, others BIEs and business stakeholders to surface high quality business insights and analytics
* Collaborating with our dedicated product, data engineering, and software development teams to create production implementations for large-scale data analysis.
* Developing an understanding of key business metrics / KPIs and providing clear, compelling analysis that shapes the direction of our business.
* Performing data and statistical analysis on oddities in data to help provide high data quality within our modeling ecosystems - Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
- 5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in writing complex, highly-optimized SQL queries across large data sets.- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience working with financial data
- Experience designing outlier detection
- Experience with application development in Streamlit

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
