We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Program Manager to drive our global product lifecycle management initiatives within the Operations Technology Solutions - Supply Chain (OTS-SC) organization.
As a member of our Product Onboarding and Enablement (POE) team, this role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing end-to-end product lifecycle management strategies across Amazon's Worldwide Store Operations.
As a key member of the OTS-SC organization, you will drive operational excellence and innovation in our approach of comprehensive lifecycle of IT products, from initial onboarding and deployment to maintenance and eventual retirement.
Your strategic vision and execution will be crucial in harmonizing processes across regions and business units, optimizing costs, enhancing operational efficiency, and mitigating risks associated with technology asset management.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Technical Product Managers, Finance, and Field IT teams, to ensure seamless integration of lifecycle management practices with broader supply chain and business strategies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a substantial impact on Amazon's global operations, contributing directly to the company's ability to deliver flexible, low-touch, and secure technology solutions across its vast network of fulfillment centers, transportation hubs, and specialized facilities.
You will be instrumental in transforming our approach to IT asset management, implementing data-focused decision-making processes, and leveraging Amazon's scale to drive significant improvements in cost-effectiveness and operational resilience.
Key job responsibilities
- Design and implement a comprehensive global product lifecycle management strategy, aligning with IT policies and business objectives.
- Drive the development of standardized processes for product onboarding, maintenance, and end-of-life management across all regions and business units.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle management of IT products, from engineering design to procurement, deployment, maintenance, and eventual retirement.
- Implement robust tracking and monitoring systems to provide real-time visibility into inventory levels, refresh cycles, and key performance metrics.
- Partner with Finance, Capital Planning, and Supply Chain Planning teams to develop long-term financial forecasts and budget plans for lifecycle management programs.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Field IT teams to streamline processes and ensure consistency across the organization.
- Oversee the implementation of new technologies and tools to enhance lifecycle management capabilities.
- Develop and implement best practices for product lifecycle management across the organization.
- Develop comprehensive change management and communication plans to support the organization-wide adoption of new lifecycle management processes.
- Establish KPIs and performance management frameworks to measure the success of product lifecycle management initiatives.
- Develop data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.
A day in the life
* Maintain project plans, timelines, and resource allocation for multiple concurrent lifecycle management initiatives.
* Facilitate sessions with senior leadership to secure resources for lifecycle management initiatives.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between product lifecycle management and broader supply chain strategies.
* Continuously analyze and optimize lifecycle management processes, identifying opportunities for automation, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements.
*Oversee the implementation of training/communication plans to ensure all relevant stakeholders are equipped to execute the new processes effectively.
* Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on the progress, challenges, and outcomes of lifecycle management programs.

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Master's degree, or PMP certificate
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management and forecasting.
