Wondery is seeking an experienced, innovative, and strategic Marketing Operations & Strategy Manager to join our Marketing leadership team. This role will serve as a strategic partner across the organization, driving operational excellence and delivering impactful business results and ROI. The ideal candidate is a strategic data-driven problem solver with exceptional communication skills, strong analytical capabilities and a passion for scaling marketing programs. The position will oversee the long-term strategic plan for Wondery Marketing in collaboration with the Head of Marketing and Wondery’s leadership team – driving success in multiple touchpoints including Content, Commerce, and Advertising.

In this role, you will oversee the development and management of Wondery’s marketing budgets, partnering closely with finance to track performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive efficiencies. You will also design and implement the marketing organization’s short and long-term goal-setting and campaign prioritization processes to align with business objectives and deliver results and ROI at scale. The role will design and execute internal and cross-functional communication systems.

This position requires a strong understanding of strategic & financial planning, operational management, and data analysis to identify trends and inform decision-making. You will collaborate across teams, contributing to the development of Wondery’s marketing strategy and managing cross-functional projects to successful execution. You must thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and demonstrate the ability to think big while managing the details.

This position is based in Los Angeles, CA.

Key job responsibilities
Manage Wondery’s marketing budgets, partnering with finance to develop, analyze, and present annual, quarterly, and monthly reports while identifying optimization opportunities.
Lead the strategic goal-setting and campaign prioritization process, ensuring alignment with business objectives and scaling delivery mechanisms for measurable results and ROI.
Analyze internal and external data to design strategies that drive growth, improve efficiency, and inform key business decisions.
Partner with cross-functional teams to execute projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with Wondery’s strategic goals.
Drive the adoption of best practices across Amazon teams, sharing insights and mechanisms to improve processes and results.

- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- Experience with financial and operational planning with a Marketing lens
- Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Expertise in interpreting data to inform decisions and make recommendations.
- Experience in the entertainment and media industry (e.g., podcast networks, streaming platforms, or TV networks), with a deep understanding of content strategy best practices.
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong leadership skills with experience presenting to senior leaders and influencing decision-making.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $153,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $252,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
