Automation QA Engineer

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining an automated test framework and test cases. Your primary focus will be to ensure the highest quality software product through the implementation of best practices in test automation. You will work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to identify test requirements and improve test coverage across the software stack.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking a highly motivated Test Automation Engineer with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in automated testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API and UI test automation, familiarity with CI/CD processes, and experience working with Docker and version control systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test cases.
• Run nightly test executions, analyze regression test results, and report findings.
• Maintain and update existing API and UI test cases to reflect project changes.
• Develop and execute API automated tests to ensure backend functionality.
• Build and maintain UI test automation using Selenium, Selenide frameworks, XPath, and CSS selectors.
• Utilize Git for version control, participate in pull requests, and conduct code reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and track issues using JIRA.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

Hard Skills:

• 2+ years of experience as an Automation QA Engineer (AQA).
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Version control systems (GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.).
  • API testing tools (Retrofit, REST Assured, etc.).
  • UI test automation (Selenium, Selenide frameworks, XPath, CSS selectors).
  • Test runners and build tools.
  • CI/CD processes and tools.
  • Docker for test environments.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail with the ability to identify and troubleshoot problems efficiently.
• Ability to learn new technologies and enhance skills continuously.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with teams.
• Good understanding of QA methodologies.
• Fluent English (B2+ level or higher).

Good to Have:

• Experience with test design and test documentation creation/review.
• Familiarity with SQL and database testing.
• Experience with IoC frameworks.
• Exposure to Hyper-V/Vmware for testing environments.
