WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Infrastructure Management – Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure on platforms such as Microsoft Azure to support Datto SaaS Defense.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Development – Develop and manage continuous integration and delivery pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring of the SaaS Defense platform.
  • Automation – Create and maintain scripts and tools to automate routine tasks, improving efficiency and reducing manual intervention.
  • Monitoring and Performance Optimization – Implement monitoring solutions to track system performance, identify issues, and optimize system reliability and scalability.
  • Collaboration – Work closely with software development, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new features and updates.
  • Security Compliance – Ensure that all systems and processes comply with industry security standards and best practices, proactively identifying and mitigating potential vulnerabilities.
  • Mentorship – Provide guidance and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking an Experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with a passion for cloud-based infrastructure, automation, and security. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of DevOps best practices, strong technical skills, and experience working with Azure, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the migration of infrastructure and workflows to Kubernetes and GitHub Actions.
  • Optimize Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
  • Manage GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines, automating testing and deployment.
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) best practices with Terraform, Helm, or Ansible.
  • Improve monitoring, observability, and security across Kubernetes environments.
  • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to drive efficiency and best practices.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Helm, or Ansible.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with GitHub Actions and transitioning from other CI/CD solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, security best practices, and infrastructure automation.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proven leadership and mentorship capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 security solutions.
  • Knowledge of advanced threat protection mechanisms and best practices.
  • Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
  • Knowledge of policy-driven Kubernetes security tools (OPA, Kyverno).
  • Experience with cost optimization for Kubernetes workloads.
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification.
