Financial Accountant (m/f/x)

The role

We are looking for a Financial Accountant to support our ambitious growth plans for our fast-growing new food venture, Factor Europe (Factor is a service that delivers nutritious, delicious, freshly prepared ready-to-heat meals to your door). In this role, you will work between the local Finance Business Partner in the Factor Europe Headquarters in Amsterdam and our Senior Finance Director, located in the Group’s Headquarters in Berlin. You take ownership of the Financial accounting and reporting across two legal entities and multiple European markets. This role will report directly to the Senior Finance Director.

What you’ll do

• Execution of regular accounting processes for two legal entities and across multiple European market P&Ls
• Ownership of monthly financial reporting
• Responsible for revenue accounting, inventory accounting, intragroup cost reallocation and weekly business performance reporting
• Coordination of transactional accounting (accounts payables, fixed assets, bank reconciliations) in our service center in the Philippines
• Project accounting on a large scale capex investment
• Delivery of regular and ad hoc reporting
• VAT declarations and local Tax reporting
• Have the opportunity to provide in-depth value adding analysis to both financial and non-financial senior management which could have a lasting impact on the group globally.
• Support the local management and Finance leadership on the month-end close board packs preparation supporting commentary across the operational departments.

What you’ll bring

• Passion, drive and great communication skills
• Experience in a similar role previously, 2-5 years experience working in finance and accounting.
• Preferred CA/ACCA/CPA qualified or part qualified
• An eye and appreciation for detail and an understanding of data structures and complex systems/workflows.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets and exposure to an ERP system (experience with Oracle Fusion would be advantageous)
• Open to innovative data processing technologies

• Fluency in English
