The role

We are seeking a Recipe & Ingredient Developer to join the HelloFresh Culinary team. The Recipe & Ingredient Developer will be responsible for developing new recipes and innovating on existing ones while researching, improving, and testing our ingredients portfolio. You’ll analyze customer feedback to improve our product and ensure customer satisfaction.

The role is highly cross-functional and will work closely with Global Ingredient and culinary stakeholders, as well as local Operations teams to develop the best possible product.

What you’ll do

• Develop ~6 new recipes every week maintaining product fit, cost, and nutritional targets - which includes writing detailed instructions for each recipe using standardized guidelines, focusing on ease of execution for the customer
• Build expertise within your ingredient categories: you’ll be familiar with the look, taste, and specifications of ingredients
• Support the process of onboarding new ingredients based on market trends and improving existing ingredients based on customer feedback
• Support sensory tastings for new ingredients and recipes
• Take responsibility for ingredient swaps and recipe recooks
• Kitchen management and maintenance of key operational ordering procedures
• Collaborate with local and global stakeholders, including category managers, food safety specialists, and recipe developers

What you’ll bring

• Obsessed with food, Food-related educational background is valued but not compulsory
• 2+  year experience in Product Development
• Analytical mindset and know how to use data as the basis of your decisions
• Strong written and in-person communication skills: you enjoy working with many different stakeholders
• Driven by results and firm believer in accountability: a task-oriented self-starter who proactively takes on big ideas and projects and is capable of impeccably executing them
• Italian and English proficiency, both spoken and written, are a must
• Proficiency in key features of the Google Workspace platform including Drive, Gmail, Google Meet, Docs, Sheets, Forms, and Slides
