Modern Workplace Engineer

What is the role about?

We are seeking an experienced Modern Workplace Engineer to support and enhance our IT infrastructure, focusing on access management, device management, and IT asset tracking. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in IAM, Secure Connectivity, MDM, and IT Asset Management to streamline processes, maintain security protocols, and provide user support. This role will play a critical part in optimising our IT operations, contributing to a seamless and secure user experience.

How will you make an impact?

• Manage and configure Workspace settings, ensuring performance, security, and policy enforcement (DLP, phishing protection, 2-step verification).
• Handle user provisioning, deprovisioning, and troubleshoot email,calendar, and file sharing issues.
• Develop documentation and user guides to enhance adoption and effective use of Workspace tools.
• Configure, manage, and maintain SSO and MFA policies for secure authentication and user provisioning.
• Troubleshoot access issues, collaborate with Security and HR teams, and integrate IAM with HRIS systems for lifecycle management.
• Manage and configure Workspace settings to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Enforce security policies such as DLP, phishing protection, and two-step verification.
• Implement best practices for user provisioning and deprovisioning across the organization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve access-related issues for smooth application and resource access.
• Configure and deploy Zero Trust to secure network access and optimize remote connections.
• Manage MDM for device enrollment, security compliance, and endpoint protection.

How will you be successful?

• 5+ years of experience in IT or a related field with hands-on experience in IAM, Secure Connectivity , MDM , Workspace Administration  and IT Asset Management .
• In-depth knowledge of identity and access management principlesFamiliarity with device management and MDM policies.
• Experience with network security and VPN/proxy configurations Proficiency in IT asset management, including asset tracking and inventory management.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills to provide clear, concise instructions and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Workspace Administration: Experience with setting up, configuring, and maintaining Workspace for business, with a strong understanding of its security settings and policies.
• Familiarity with DLP and data security to ensure data protection and compliance.
• Experience managing group policies, shared drives, and access controls within Google Workspace to enhance collaboration and data management.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with macOS/iOS environments and Zero Trust frameworks.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry (e.g., finance, healthcare, technology).
• Strong documentation skills to create detailed process and procedure guides.
