As a Business Controller at Bitvavo, you are a trusted advisor to senior management and key stakeholders across the organization. Your strategic insights and data-driven analysis help shape the company's direction and ensure operational excellence. In this role, you work closely with teams across the organization to provide actionable recommendations that drive growth and improve performance.

By combining strong financial acumen with an in-depth understanding of business operations, you play a pivotal role in aligning the company’s goals with actionable plans. You thrive in a dynamic environment, are future-oriented, and have a continuous improvement mindset.

What will you do?

• Partner with senior management to provide insights that shape the company’s direction and achieve business goals
• Lead financial planning and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with short-, medium-, and long-term objectives
• Drive operational excellence by identifying and implementing improvements to enhance financial control and decision-making
• Champion the transition to a data-informed organization, embedding analytics into key business processes
• Identify what drives (financial) success for Bitvavo’s business lines and develop measures for these drivers;

What will you need to succeed?

• 3-5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2-3 years in a hands-on Business Control role
• Experience in fintech, trading, or exchange industries is highly preferred
• A proactive approach and the ability to identify challenges and solutions before they arise
• Financial modeling and analytical skills with advanced knowledge of Excel required, with the ability to create impactful presentations and models
• A proactive, solution-oriented approach with a passion for continuous improvement
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English
