Our team, located in Amsterdam, is looking for self-driven, talented people who can help make digital assets available for everyone.

What is the role about?

In the next couple of years, we will be expanding our operations in Europe considerably and you will have the opportunity to be a part of it. You will be actively contributing to the building of the treasury function, which has its key responsibilities in the area of cash management, investments and funding activities. Together with your treasury colleagues, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and optimising the treasury strategy and policies that are aligned with the rest of the organisation contributing to a balanced liquidity and optimised yield for Bitvavo and its customers. In addition, you will represent treasury and finance in general in key, firm-wide projects related to the future set-up and workings of the exchange.

Some of the areas you will be working on are:

• Securing Bitvavo’s liquidity (both fiat and crypto currencies), and ensuring a smooth transfer of liquidity between the different Bitvavo entities.
• Selecting and onboarding with additional banking and payment partners.
• Strategic initiatives related to Bitvavo's future setup and regulatory landscape (MiCAR & EMI licence).
• Bringing Bitvavo's treasury management to the next level through implementation of tooling (TMS), reporting and forecasting.
• Generating passive income while taking into account Bitvavo’s risk appetite, risk management and return on investment.

How will you make an impact?

• Monitoring cash positions, provide cash flow forecasts and ensure there is sufficient liquidity for both fiat and crypto currencies.
• Improving cash balances and optimising yield by developing strategies to maximise yield, efficiencies while securing assets, mitigating risks and minimising costs.
• Establishing deals with third parties and coordinating the processing of transactions.
• Represent treasury in firmwide projects and initiatives.
• Developing dashboards and interpret data to enhance financial controls.
• Taking the initiative to identify new revenue opportunities and realise process improvements.
• Alignment with Risk, Finance, Product and business development on various cross functional projects and formulating and presenting proposals to senior management.

How will you be successful?

• University Degree in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in similar positions (experience in the financial sector/regulated Fintech is a plus).
• Strong project management skills, able to work independently in a structured manner.
• Experience in financial risk concepts (CFA or FRM is a plus).
• Accuracy and an eye for detail.
• Commitment to the team and a real team player attitude, whilst being comfortable taking initiative in an ever changing environment.
• Great stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Good written and verbal command of the English language is mandatory, Dutch is a plus.
