It’s no secret that we want to entertain the world. To do that, we must first hire and develop the best people, starting with university students.
If you have a passion for solving challenging problems and are excited at the prospect of having a significant impact on productions that over 300 million viewers tune into, then we want to talk to you.
The Content Operations & Innovation organization at Netflix supports content to thrill members with efficient operational workflows and execution while leveraging our scale and innovating to deliver more value on screen. Within this organization, we are looking to host an intern on the Netflix Archive team during Summer 2025. The Netflix Archive is charged with collecting and preserving physical assets from our production content to preserve the studios’ history, inform the future and share Netflix’s creative legacy with the world.
As an Archive Intern, you will participate in a program that provides training and development intended to give you the skill set necessary to become a strong candidate for a future career in Production Archives. You will take on the role of a processing Archivist, processing a title from start to finish. This will include viewing the content and making a selection list of physical assets that are important to the story, characters and world depicted. Physical assets will be cataloged, imaged, conditioned and rehoused for long-term preservation. There will also be opportunities to assist with local displays and exhibition requests.
You do not need prior experience to apply; once you submit your application, you’ll receive an email inviting you to complete your application by filling out an Airtable form. You’ll also be asked to submit a 300-word-maximum statement of intent (preferably in PDF format) within the form using the following prompt:
Write a statement about why you are interested in pursuing an Archive internship in Hollywood. What aspects of the entertainment industry appeal to you the most? How can preserving entertainment history create impact? What shows are you currently watching and/or what show is a go-to for comfort viewing? Please share an example of how your skills and experiences can contribute to the Archive internship.
This posting will be open for a very limited time and will be closed for new applications by February 7, so if you’re interested, please submit your application as soon as possible.
