The Content Operations & Innovation organization at Netflix supports content to thrill members with efficient operational workflows and execution while leveraging our scale and innovating to deliver more value on screen. Within this organization, we are looking to host an intern at the Studio Safety Program at Netflix Studios Albuquerque (NSABQ) during Summer 2025. Studio Safety is responsible for the management of safety programs implemented at our studio spaces located throughout the United States.  Studio Safety is responsible for the safety and compliance of the infrastructure and all studio assigned employees. Studio Safety assists the studio in providing a safe and healthful workplace through the development and implementation of programs which minimize the risk of occupational-related injury or illness and environmental hazards.  We offer health, safety and environmental resources and training to build awareness of the risks located at studio locations. d environmental hazards. 

As an intern, you will assist the Studio Safety Manager and Fire & Life Safety Specialist in implementing and maintaining safety programs, conducting safety audits, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of environmental health and safety.

You do not need prior experience to apply; once you submit your application, you’ll receive an email inviting you to complete your application by filling out an Airtable form.  As the Studio Safety team, we collaborate with our internal departments (i.e., Facilities, Stage Management, Security, etc.) to provide a safe and healthy environment at our studio locations. We have developed strong working relationships with our cross functional partners as well as outside entities, such as fire departments, regulatory entities and our neighbors adjacent to our campus.  One of our goals is to create and maintain the premier studio safety program in the United States.

Who Are You? 

  • Currently pursuing an Associates, Bachelors, or Masters degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Fire Science or a related field.

  • Strong interest in workplace safety and compliance.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Familiarity with safety regulations and standards is a plus.

  • First Aid/CPR certification strongly preferred. 

What might you do? 

  • Assist in the annual review of safety policies and procedures.

  • Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

  • Participate in safety training sessions and workshops for employees.

  • Help maintain safety records and documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Collaborate with various departments to promote safety awareness and best practices.

  • Participate in the implementation of several capital projects, to include fall protection measures. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Safety Manager.

The Summer Internship

At Netflix, we offer a personalized experience for interns, and our aim is to offer an experience that mimics what it is like to actually work here. Internships are paid and are a minimum of 10 weeks, with a fixed start date in June to accommodate varying school calendars. Conditions permitting, our summer internships in 2025 on the Content teams will be located in our Los Angeles, CA office with an exception of Studio Safety being based in New Mexico.

At Netflix, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine the Intern top of market. We rely on market indicators to determine compensation and consider your specific internship team, degree, and years of education to get it right. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. 

The overall market range for Netflix Internships in Content is typically $20/hour - $40/hour.
