The Security Incident Response Team is a global team that works to protect Netflix and its customers across this broad range of services.
As part of Detection and Response the Security Incident Response Team partners closely with Security Operations and Intelligence, and Detection Engineering. You’ll lead a team that focuses on incident response preparedness and best practices, identification and mitigation of security incidents, builds its own tools and automations, and works with the broader information security org to identify and reduce risks. This is a mature and globally distributed team and we are looking for a leader that can manage a hybrid team of security software engineers and security engineers, evolve the incident response program to handle rapidly changing business requirements, support our Detection Engineering teams global needs, and align closely with other incident management teams across the business. We are looking for a leader with broad security domain knowledge that will help us as we expand our Security Engineering organization in the years to come.
In this role you will co-own, build and advance our incident response charter, drive our global engagement strategy, and work with our Content Protection and Enterprise Security teams. You will closely collaborate with many other Netflix teams to actively defend Netflix’s assets across streaming, studio, games, and enterprise. This is an active and highly visible role that requires an appreciation for operational excellence, a pragmatic view of risk, and a strong ability to build cross-functional relationships.

Your technical background aligns with the current team operating at the intersection of software engineering, incident response, and digital forensics.
You are well versed in the latest adversary techniques, attack lifecycle, and incident response procedure.
You can successfully coach, mentor, develop and inspire a talented and senior team.
You are confident in working with frontline teammates, executives, and third party organizations to inform and coordinate collaborative efforts.
You can drive success with minimal process and a heavy emphasis on individual responsibility.
You cultivate team morale and culture, and partner with leadership to implement strategies to manage the high velocity and often stressful tempo.
