The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Music Production Coordinator to join Music Production in Korea, focusing on film, series, and unscripted productions. This role will collaborate with the Music Production team and cross-functional teams to manage and streamline music production workflows. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in music production processes, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality music for content.
Responsibilities
Develop the music scope and overall sonic scapes for shows and films
Analyze scripts to identify music requirements, licensing challenges, and unresolved music issues
Set up music onboarding for projects, including preparing the onboarding materials, scheduling sessions, and guiding partners on Netflix music tools
Facilitate communication with external partners and internal stakeholders by distributing key dates and materials, and responding to inquiries
Track and manage music-related issues for each project, ensuring alignment with cross-functional teams
Oversee the progress and scheduling of music work and ensure music deliverables are complete, including music-related documents, archiving, and cue sheets
Provide recommendations for music talent and maintain consistent communication with composers, partners, and internal teams, if needed
Manage the musical assets and label copies for original soundtrack production
Organizing music-related events as needed
Skills & Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in the music industry, with an in-depth understanding of music composition processes
Previous experience in music production, engineering/editing, composing, or music supervision
Skilled in working with composers, artists, music directors, producers, or supervisors, particularly in a studio environment, is a plus
Deep understanding of music copyright, licensing, and A&R workflow
Strong relationship with digital streaming platforms, as well as music publishing, record labels, and PROs
Proficiency in managing workflows, tools, and schedules for music production
Experience supporting on-camera performances and coordinating pre-records on-set, and post-production requirements
Highly organized, proactive, and solution-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines
Open to feedback and capable of exercising good judgment and discretion
Strong analytical skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities
