The Role
As an Art Lead at Next Games, you’ll work within a team of highly talented and motivated artists to create visually outstanding games on Netflix.
You should be a highly skilled artist, with an exceptional art portfolio, extensive experience in mobile gaming, and strong leadership skills. You thrive in creating high-quality visual design, and you lead, mentor, and manage other artists. You seek to find functional and highly polished workflows and pipelines to ensure a smooth art production cycle with a focus on cross-discipline collaboration
Responsibilities
Owning the art in our top priority game and leading the artists in the same project
Creating a strong visual identity for a game project by creating high-quality concept art, prototypes, and final game art assets throughout various stages of game development.
Actively looking for ways to design and create new high-quality visuals for games and you want to raise the bar of outstanding Game Art
Managing your workload effectively and independently
Proactively improving the workflows and setting a high standard of artistic game development
Creating and maintaining Art Bibles and Art Documentation.
Working closely with the Art Director in both creating strong visual styles as well as fostering the company culture within the Art Discipline team
Overseeing the work of up to 5 artists and mentoring other artists
Skills and Experience
Experience working with Adobe Suite / Illustrative software
Experience working with with Unity or other similar game engine
Strong concepting skills
Strong 2D and or 3D asset creation skills
Highly creative person with deep understanding of world-building, branding, and visual communication
You can adapt easily and proactively to different software and tasks
Strong, proactive communication skills, within discipline and cross-discipline
Proactive self-direction with maintaining up-to-date knowledge of software and pipeline
Self-motivated and directed, with a can-do attitude
Nice to have
Experience working with tools such as Figma or similar prototyping tools
Jira, Confluence, and other project management tools experience is a plus
