The role is responsible for bringing together the strengths of analysing data and intelligence, key vendor partnerships and broad emerging technology innovations to craft VFX Services in support of Netflix productions globally. This role plays a fundamental part in managing their team to provide recurring insights (including innovation), vendor health and strategic recommendations to facilitate proactive responses to industry shifts and reinforce strategic production solutions.
A successful candidate will be self-motivated, quick-thinking, flexible, able to pivot when necessary, thorough, and capable of juggling multiple and diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and an unwavering attention to detail at all times. This is a demanding and fast-moving position requiring someone who is a proactive and quick thinker that is able to exercise good judgment and excellent communication.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the Director, VFXS to identify and strategize on the use of emerging technologies and vendor insights, crafting impactful initiatives for Netflix productions
Develop engagement models for VFX vendors, talent, and emerging VFX technologies to foster collaboration and innovation
Develop strategic framework to guide decision-making on key Studio initiatives by conducting analysis of key business drivers, trends and performance indicators
Prepare valuation analyses (model building, scenario planning, etc.) to support strategic initiative proposals
Consultant on high-priority global VFX projects, advising on critical production changes and providing curated solutions to maximize vendor effectiveness and minimize slate risk
Lead a team responsible for key VFX Data and Intelligence Initiatives, optimizing the execution of Global Vendor Management
Partner with VFXS Data Analyst to establish and maintain a robust data foundation, enabling efficient vendor analysis, data-driven decision-making, and automation
Empower the VFX Vendor Management Specialist to spearhead initiatives that gather market intelligence and enhance solutions for production, providing a strategic edge for the VFXS team
Serve as an ambassador for VFX Services globally, communicating our strategic value to stakeholders and cross functional partners
Qualifications
Strong business strategy skills; able to aggregate multiple sources (business, finance etc) to craft proposals
Domain knowledge of VFX concepts, practices, and procedures
Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with demonstrated ability to work effectively across cross functional and cross cultural domains
Proficient project management skills with a proven track record of articulating business needs, problem-solving production challenges, and delivering creative solutions while upholding team/department standards
Familiarity with VFX trends and emerging technology, with the ability to assess impact on creative, budget, and schedule. Essentially matchmaking new tech benefits to creatively

10+ years of experience in VFX production management roles, ideally within a studio, production company, or specialized boutique VFX studios
Strategic experience of expanding networks and knowledge of VFX vendors
Interest in gaining working knowledge of VFX software and tools
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $160,000 - $360,000.
