Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with front-end and user interface development.
  • Experience with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
  • Experience with TypeScript.
  • Experience with Angular.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Experience with implementing user interfaces using Angular, TypeScript and RxJS.
  • Experience with large scale projects including extensive test coverage and integration testing.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills.

We build and maintain the Vertex AI Studio front-end, the primary interface used by hundreds of thousands of enterprise customers to visually access and explore the capabilities of these models, such as Gemini 1.5, and others.

We are the entry point for developers who want to test, experiment, and integrate Google's AI models into their own applications. Our work directly impacts the success of AI-driven solutions across various industries. We grow on technical challenges, constantly pushing the boundaries of scalability, performance, and user experience. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

  • Implement Cloud Console UI using Angular, TypeScript, RxJS and other technologies.
  • Design features from the ground up, measuring launches impact.
  • Implement scalable, reliable, and performant UI pages, components, middleware services, and tests.
  • Work with UX designers and Program Managers and design the UI with them by providing feedback on mocks, assessing their feasibility.
  • Focus on reliability, engineering and product excellence.
