Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • 1 year of experience with iOS application development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with mobile development on iOS.
  • Experience in developing large-scale client infrastructure.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Ability to work with different technologies (e.g., Objective-C, Swift, C++).

Our team is responsible for the client infrastructure of the YouTube Studio mobile apps (iOS and Android), used by YouTube Creators to manage their content. We provide the foundations and capabilities to allow more than 50 partner teams to build and scale YouTube Studio's features efficiently and reliably.

  • Solve technical problems that benefit all YouTube Studio developers, with guidance from team members.
  • Work with other engineers to identify and resolve release or performance issues.
  • Support and collaborate with the YouTube Studio developer community.
  • Develop relationships with many partner teams developing features in the mobile app.
  • Stay informed with the latest mobile technologies and standard procedures.
