About the role
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Tax to oversee the Tax Compliance and Advisory functions for our LATAM operations (excluding Brazil), based out of our Mexico City office. You will report to the Director of Tax, Americas in Mexico City and will lead a local team of stunning colleagues.
You are a curious self-starter who can collaborate effectively both within Tax and with cross-functional partners. You possess 12+ years of relevant experience in Mexico tax compliance functions, as well as experience managing regional tax compliance, relationships with tax authorities and leading teams. You have a hands-on mentality that balances with a strategic vision for the function, you are eager to make an immediate impact on the team, and are constantly looking for ways to improve routines. Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will be managing and overseeing ongoing compliance requirements related to direct, indirect, and/or digital service taxation in the LATAM region (including Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and Perú, among others), as well as providing regional tax advisory support. Your day-to-day activities will include:
Overseeing month-end and quarter-end close activities, as well as routine monthly and yearly indirect and direct tax compliance
Supervising and owning the tax accounting function, including the Income Tax Provision under US GAAP
Managing Statutory audits for local Financial Reporting and Tax authority audits
Provide Tax Advisory related to our local operations and productions on cross-border transactions, double taxation treaty application, VAT refunds, among others
Oversee the application, compliance, monetization, and reporting processes to claim Production Incentives in the region
Strategically driving ad-hoc projects such as creation of new legal entities, application to specific tax programs, launch of new business lines, process improvements, restructures, electronic invoicing changes, etc.

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
You have 12+ years of relevant experience in Mexican tax compliance, plus relevant experience managing a regional tax compliance & advisory function while leading a team
You are highly organized and are able to coordinate multiple and simultaneous demands for timely delivery, and balance competing priorities
You demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills by being clear, succinct, and organized, and are able to message complex tax nuances to a diverse audience
You cultivate positive relationships and build rapport easily with other teams/departments
You are open to giving and receiving feedback, and highly motivated to improve your current skill set in a fast-paced environment
You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get your hands into the work when the situation requires
You are passionate about automation tools and software to streamline tax operations and minimize manual tasks; you encourage your team to propose and test new ideas and solutions
You are never satisfied with the status quo; always mindful of how to improve existing processes and activities with a strategic long-term vision
You are fluent in Spanish and English
