The Team
Netflix is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to support three executives that lead the UCAN Marketing Planning, UCAN Marketing Operations and UCAN Social Marketing (Film, Nonfiction, and LIVE) teams, respectively. This role will be responsible for handling a heavy volume of meetings and calendars, travel and expense reports, and organizing meetings and presentations in addition to providing some overall support to key partner presentations. This position is based in the Hollywood, California office.
The Netflix UCAN Marketing Planning and Operations teams include the strategic marketing planning and operations engines behind the end-to-end development of all key marketing campaigns and initiatives across series, film, live & events, and brand. The Netflix Social Marketing team is responsible for bringing the social campaigns of our slate of series and films to the world through strategic and creative campaign development and managing the broad array of Netflix social channels. Both teams work cross-functionally and globally with multiple teams throughout Netflix including Creative Marketing, Comms, Publicity, Partnerships, Consumer Products, Content, Marketing Production and directly with our productions, talent, and social platforms. As an Administrative Assistant supporting each team, this individual will have the opportunity to interact with several of these teams and have exposure to our global organization. The right candidate will also find growth potential in the long-term and the opportunity to collaborate on campaigns as they gain more insight into the business.
The Role
We are looking for someone who is exceptionally detail-oriented, proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative. The pace of the teams is demanding and thus the role requires flexibility, quick-thinking, and a growth mindset. We encourage curiosity and an eagerness to learn. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate passion for entertainment, pop culture, and all things marketing.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Proactive management of calendars for the leader and their team, including scheduling internal and external meetings, coordinating with admins of internal and external executive and C-Suite professionals, and working across time zones in various regions
Understanding each team’s strategy, the organization, and how the pieces fit together
Building relationships internally and externally with the team, cross-functional partners, and partner companies
Book, manage, and coordinate logistics for team meetings, events, and offsites
Coordinating travel arrangements on a regular basis
Processing expense reports in a timely manner
Creating presentations and documents using the Google Suite
Tracking and maintenance of projects and their status/point of contact
Sitting in on meetings and taking notes
Assisting with team projects as needed
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in an Administrative Assistant or Executive Assistant capacity
Proficiency in Google: Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Groups
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Independent worker with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects and switch easily between tasks
Strong attention to detail at all times
Displays professionalism in communication with internal and external partners
Responsive and able to work flexibly across time zones
Ability to be discrete and maintain confidential information
Strong judgment and ability to make decisions quickly or to gather necessary context for making decisions
Team-player who operates in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
Able to stay calm under pressure and work on short deadlines
Prior experience in media, consumer products, marketing/PR and/or entertainment is ideal
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $60,000 - $240,000.
