The Consumer Products & Experiences Financial Planning & Analysis team is looking for a talented Manager to support Netflix’s Experiences division. We’re looking for a Manager who can help the Experiences team build, grow, and operate Netflix House and our broader Experiences portfolio. This role will also be a critical and integrated business partner to the Experiences Leadership Team, responsible for leading the operational planning and analytics for the business’s rapidly evolving strategic vision.

In this role, you will need to be a big-picture thinker, a self-starter, and an analytical thought partner with an eye for detail. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, and embrace ambiguity and change. You must be a solutions-oriented problem solver and be able to communicate complex ideas using both qualitative and quantitative means to a broad spectrum of stakeholders. The position is based in Los Angeles and will report to the Director of FP&A for Consumer Products & Experiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead long-range planning with an eye towards execution

  • Own and support near-term and long-term P&Ls and cash forecasts for our Experiences portfolio (includes stage plays, touring attractions, and Netflix House)

  • Manage headcount planning and people cost budgets

  • Perform financial scenario analysis to support business unit scaling efforts to assist senior management decision-making

  • Own, develop, and iterate on financial KPIs, metrics, and dashboards 

  • Work with cross-functional teams to adapt and evolve financial framework(s) to properly support managerial and GAAP reporting 

  • Develop quarterly budget review presentations that consolidate and summarize the multiple businesses that make up the Experiences organization

  • Assist in the implementation of a dynamic financial planning tool and drive automation efforts for existing systems

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidates are required to be highly analytical & strategic and be strong, effective communicators

  • A sound understanding of related accounting guidance is preferred

  • The successful candidate must display initiative in anticipating and exceeding the business demands of senior-level executives. This person must thrive in a fast-paced environment and exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics.   

  • Netflix is fast-growing with a flat organizational structure, which means that employees are often asked to perform tasks with a range of difficulties. Candidate must be motivated, disciplined, flexible, and be able to work effectively autonomously

  • Prior experience in the LBE (location-based entertainment) industry, retail industry, investment banking, or corporate finance is preferred. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of superior financial and strategic analysis and delivering actionable recommendations based on this analysis.    

REQUIREMENTS

  • 8+ years of relevant experience (e.g., finance & strategy in an ecommerce/retail/LBE company, investment bank, etc). Prior experience in Entertainment Strategy and/or Financial Planning & Analysis preferred 

  • Extensive experience conducting quantitative and qualitative financial analysis.

  • Must have proficiency working with systems and automated reporting tools (i.e., Oracle, Anaplan, Workday financials, etc.). Financial systems implementation experience is a plus

  • Superior proficiency with Excel and complex financial modeling

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • 4-year degree in a relevant field with strong academic performance, MBA preferred

  • Genuine passion and excitement for Netflix’s unique culture.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $160,000 - $470,000.
