As an engineer at Lyft, you'll collaborate with teams like product, data science, analytics, and operations on code that empower us to iterate quickly, while focusing on delighting our passengers and drivers.

Lyft Concierge enables organizations and businesses to send rides for their customers providing ground transportation even without using the Lyft app. Concierge provides a full fledged for ride client, available via public API or Web, allowing administrators to effortlessly manage multiple rides at the same time. As an iOS engineer, you'll build on our mobile client features which allow for riders to find and take their healthcare rides. You'll help shape a product which powers millions of rides on the Lyft platform and provide a unique and reliable experience for our riders.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, deploy, monitor, operate and maintain existing or new elements of our Lyft Rider application
  • Help establish roadmap and architecture based on technology and our needs
  • Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, maintainable code
  • Analyze our internal systems and processes and locate areas for improvement/automation
  • Collaborate with product org stakeholders to execute on projects
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge
  • Share your knowledge by giving brown bags, tech talks, and promoting appropriate tech and engineering best practices
  • Can help lead large projects from idea to positive execution
  • Unblock, support and communicate with internal partners to achieve results

Experience:

  • Experience: 2-5 years in software engineering, with a proven track record of building high-quality applications.
  • Education: BSc/MSc in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on expertise.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Swift and familiarity with architecture paradigms like unidirectional data flow and reactive programming.
  • Design Collaboration: Experience with tools like
  • Team Player: Someone who thrives in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment where ideas flow freely and success is shared

Starting in September 2023, this role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and a team-specific third day. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.

The expected range of pay for this position in the San Francisco area is $139,500 - $155,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
