Who are we?
Netflix is one of the world’s leading entertainment services with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films, and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.
It’s no secret that we want to entertain the world. In order to do that we first must hire and develop the best people, starting with university students.
Music is one of the most powerful tools we have as storytellers to emotionally connect our Netflix members to the story. At Music Lab, we support our Netflix titles with exceptional, cost-effective music composition & production as an in-house global studio service that reduces operating friction, accelerates timelines and empowers creative flexibility. Simply put, we create music for Netflix film and series titles with our network of diverse composers, artists, musicians and production talent around the world.
We are looking to host one intern on the Music Lab team during Summer 2025. As an intern, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting Music Lab’s music creation work and will participate in a program that provides training and development intended to give you the skill set necessary to become a strong candidate for future music composition & production positions across the film, tv, and entertainment marketing industries.
You do not need prior professional experience to apply - simply a love for creating music and storytelling; once you submit your application, you’ll receive an email inviting you to complete your application by filling out an Airtable form. You’ll also be asked to submit a 300-word-maximum statement of intent (preferably in PDF format) within the form using the following prompt:
First paragraph: Prompt Question
What excites you most about working in music for film and television?
Second Paragraph: Prompt Question/Statement
At Netflix, we take it upon ourselves to think outside the box when coming up with creative solutions. Write about a time you creatively solved a problem, what you learned from that experience, and how you might apply those learnings to working at Netflix with Music Lab.
This posting will be open for a very limited time and will be closed for new applications by February 7th, so if you’re interested, please submit your application as soon as possible.
