**About the Role** We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer II to develop and maintain Uber's Operational Standards and Partner Processes for the AV Fleets team. This pivotal role involves setting benchmarks for AV fleet partners, supporting internal and external document creation and storage, and empowering fleet partners to achieve positive business outcomes. Your contributions will underpin the large-scale global deployment of AVs on the Uber platform. **What You'll Do:** - Develop, implement, and manage operational standards documentation for Uber’s AV Fleets team, with the intention of driving operational consistency across partnerships and launches - Coordinate document change management for the AV Fleets team in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, in order to maintain accuracy and traceability of information. - Collaborate closely with internal partners, and contribute to planning and strategy as a subject matter expert for AV Operational standards, across areas including hiring, training, compliance, and vendor management - Foster a culture of success by producing and maintaining clear and concise artifacts, tailored to support a diverse group of global partners. - Data-driven decision making mentality, paired with a people-first approach - Excellent interpersonal skills, open communication style, and strong project management skills - Ability to travel to support partnerships and operations nationwide **Basic Qualifications** - Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Technical Writing, Operations Management, or related fields - 4+ years of experience technical writing policy writing, documentation change management, ideally in technology or automotive - Strong experience and understanding of AV technologies and applicable industry regulations. - Experience designing, drafting, and publishing various types of documentation, implementing robust operational standards, across multiple subjects, leveraging cross-functional relationships and expertise - Ability to travel to support partnerships and operations nationwide **Preferred Qualifications** - Experience in AV Operations, training, or development - Strong experience with versioned documents and document management systems management - Deep understanding of AV technologies and applicable industry regulations. - Experience with Instructional Design, specific to adult learners or technology - Data-driven decision making mentality, paired with a people-first approach - Excellent interpersonal skills, open communication style, and strong project management skills For Atlanta, GA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$108,000 per year - USD$120,000 per year. For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$122,000 per year - USD$135,500 per year. For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$135,000 per year - USD$150,000 per year. For Phoenix, AZ-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$108,000 per year - USD$120,000 per year. For Pittsburgh, PA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$108,000 per year - USD$120,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$135,000 per year - USD$150,000 per year. For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$122,000 per year - USD$135,500 per year. For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$135,000 per year - USD$150,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
