What is the role about?

We are an exchange platform, and system scalability, performance, and engineering productivity are key drivers in everything we do. We empower our engineering teams with the right frameworks and tools to build high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions. As we expand our front-end capabilities, we are seeking an Engineering Manager (EM) with a strong front-end engineering background, especially in React/React Native, to lead and mentor our teams.

What do we expect from an Engineering Manager?

As an EM, you will be a technical leader who coaches your team to success. Success means delivering high-quality solutions at a sustainable pace with strong engagement. We expect you to have a product mindset, able to work backward from business needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions. You’ll also need a solid background in front-end technologies to ensure our platform delivers user-friendly, high-performance applications.

How will you make an impact?

  • Team Empowerment: Lead engineering teams to build scalable mobile and front-end systems, focusing on user experience, latency, availability, and throughput.
  • Front-End Expertise: Leverage your strong experience in React or React Native to drive front-end strategy, ensuring best practices and fostering a user-centric approach.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams, uncovering pain points and crafting optimal solutions while ensuring scalable architectures that grow with our platform.
  • Ownership: Provide teams with the tools to seamlessly deploy and observe their systems, fostering full ownership of their applications.
  • Technical Leadership: Establish and uphold front-end development standards, collaborate on cross-domain initiatives, and mentor your teams in mobile and UI/UX best practices.

How will you be successful?

  • Product & Technical Leadership: Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, high-quality solutions, particularly on mobile and front-end platforms.
  • Observability & Monitoring: Proven expertise in leveraging observability tools to gain insights into performance and health, ensuring proactive identification of issues.
  • React or React Native Expertise: Proven experience with React or React Native, Redux, Jest, TypeScript, and CSS, plus familiarity with iOS and Android development patterns and best practices.
  • Architecture & Scaling: Strong foundation in engineering principles, with a focus on scaling systems and optimizing workflows through automation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse teams, including engineers, product managers, and stakeholders, to drive decisions.
  • Mentorship & Growth: Lead by example, providing constructive feedback and fostering the growth of your teams through knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
