Team mission

As Marketplace Accounting Lead at GetYourGuide, you’ll play a vital role in our Accounting Team. Reporting directly to the Director of Accounting, Tax & Treasury, your mission is clear: maintain top-notch and compliant accounting for the GetYourGuide Group. You’ll work diligently to ensure accurate financial reporting, adhere to corporate policies and accounting standards, and provide timely information to our valued internal and external stakeholders.

You will:

• Analytical Expertise: Dive into accounts and statements, delivering meticulous reconciliations according to month-end-close deadlines and on an ad-hoc basis. This includes handling mass data analysis and transaction reviews in the SAP FICA & BRIM modules.
• SAP FICA & SAP BRIM Module Management: Define and review mass accounting-related transactions in SAP, ensuring end-to-end (start to finish) process integrity. This role requires a strong capability to handle and analyze large volumes of data within SAP, providing insights and solutions for business process optimization.
• Leadership: Develop the Marketplace Accounting team, enabling them to meet targets and ensuring that they reach their maximum potential.
• Ownership and Innovation: Lead accounting-related projects, including Business Process Designs and SAP S4/Hana System development, with a particular focus on leveraging the SAP FICA & BRIM modules for enhanced financial operations.
• Communication Hub: Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external inquiries regarding Accounting, Tax Accounting, and specific queries related to SAP FICA & BRIM.  Management/design of Jira board functionality and analysis capability.  
• Collaborative Partnerships: Collaborate with external stakeholders like auditors and tax consultants, ensuring seamless integration and functionality of the SAP FICA & BRIM modules within broader financial systems.

Who you are

• Educational Foundation: Completed business studies with a focus on accounting or completed commercial vocational training with additional qualifications in the area of ​​financial accounting/balance sheet accounting. Additional training or certification in SAP FICA is highly desirable.
• Financial Experience: A minimum of 7 years in the finance department of a medium-sized company, ideally within the e-commerce sector.
• Team Empowerment: Experience in leading a small accounting team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages growth, innovation, and efficient teamwork.
• Regulatory Know-How: Strong knowledge of the commercial code and IFRS.
• Additional expertise in SAP FICA & BRIM modules regulations and compliance is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Excel in analytical tasks and demonstrate proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, Power Query and basic coding ability. Ability to manage and analyze large sets of data is crucial.
• Language Prowess: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English skills are a must.
