Our Employee Relations function helps employees in all 14 of our international offices(plus one head office in Berlin) to navigate challenging career moments while balancing empathy, compliance, and risk. We are dedicated to building policies and processes that look after the best interests of the company while simultaneously upholding our culture and cultivating a great employee experience.

You will:

• Lead low-performance management processes, including Performance Improvement Plans and resulting actions (i.e. separations, severance, off-boarding).
• Resolve employment legal matters related to misconduct investigations, employee grievances, crisis management, and other employment law matters.
• Own HR policy governance. This entails designing/implementing/updating HR policies, and advising business stakeholders on policy interpretation and employment practices/compliance in the regions where we do business to ensure fair, empathetic, and transparent policy decisions.
• Partner with HR, Legal, Business Partners, and our Employee Representation Group to build and uphold positive employee relations practices.

Who you are:

• An HR professional with 5+ years’ experience in German employment law, Employee Relations, and/or Business Partnering roles (knowledge of European, U.S. and/or APAC employment law is a plus)
• Fluent in English; German fluency is a huge plus
• A strong communicator who translates complex legal topics in a clear, concise and digestible form
• A resilient advisor who demonstrates a high degree of responsibility, sound judgment, and maturity to handle sensitive and confidential information and escalate where necessary
• An excellent stakeholder partner focused on building trust and effective collaboration
• Demonstrated experience developing policy and procedures that ensure compliance
