The Opportunity
Our core philosophy is people over process. We are looking for a creative, self-motivated, and experienced security leader to help Netflix design, develop, and scale our Protective Services program. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of successful implementation of security programs - inclusive of executive or protective services - on a global level while having an abundance of demonstrable experience in creating engagement, impactful communication, and building influence with key stakeholders at all levels. This role will report directly to the Sr. Director of Enterprise Security and will collaborate closely with the Enterprise Security Program Manager, Regional Security Leaders, Safe@ (GSOC), Protective Intelligence, Security Technology, Enterprise Transportation and Aviation, Content Risk Management, executive offices, and other stakeholders. The responsibility is to create and produce protective services for our executives that are risk-based, intelligence-led, and strategically planned/executed with excellence while providing a seamless experience for productivity.
Job Responsibilities:
Effectively build and lead a global Protective Services Program, partner and manage contingent talent vendors to augment and scale operational needs.
Lead the design, development, and implementation of a Protective Services program in support of Netflix executives and employees in need of protective services worldwide.
In partnership with the Enterprise Security Program Manager and identified stakeholders, ensure major efforts have a clear path with defined schedules identified.
Support data aggregation efforts and streamline digital workflows
Ensure deliverables (SOPs, playbooks, and metrics) are accurately defined and tracked throughout the program's life cycle
Lead the physical security forecasting, planning, maintaining personnel coverage, and assessing emergent threats that impact our employees.
Monitor and evaluate the Protective Services program strengths, weaknesses, and risks, as well as continued development of the methodologies, ensure alignment with our global security guiding principles
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with regional teams, establishing a ‘global principles with local execution’ approach
Achieve success by cultivating healthy partnerships with our cross-functional partners including workplace leaders and senior stakeholders and leading with a clear understanding of the purpose
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred) in Business, Security, or related field with at least 8 years of experience with increasing scope, responsibility, and complexity - preferably in a multinational environment
Extensive experience in protective services and security operations in a complex, global environment
A strong understanding of the building blocks required to build, improve, and maintain a world-class protective services program, including but not limited to, security operations, executive protection, residential security, and protective intelligence
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment supervising several projects at various points (from development through to delivery)
Team player who operates in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
Strong leadership skills and an ability to address conflict, influence decision-making, and foster teamwork across multiple teams and levels in an organization
Ability to clearly communicate updates to an executive leadership team and remain calm in stressful circumstances.
Comfortable leading large cross-functional initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to travel to international offices, as needed
Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Suite
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top-of-market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $100,000 - $350,000.
