Flexdrive, a vital part of Lyft's services, is a flexible car rental program that enables individuals to drive on the Lyft platform without the need for vehicle ownership. Our program offers drivers the convenience of renting a car on a weekly basis, with insurance and maintenance included, allowing them to focus on what they do best—providing excellent service to riders. 

We're currently looking for a Salesforce Solutions Architect to build technology solutions that manage the Flexdrive business. Reporting to the Manager of Enterprise Applications, the Salesforce Engineering Team is responsible for defining and executing our technology strategy. You will work collaboratively with our Flexdrive partners to identify opportunities for leveraging technology to optimize their processes, improve operational and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, develop, and implement Salesforce solutions, including custom development using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and integrations, ensuring hands-on involvement in the system's architecture and execution.
  • Own the end-to-end technology stack supporting the business, including Salesforce, Boomi integrations, data warehousing, and analytics.
  • Oversee the implementation of a comprehensive technology solution for Flexdrive, ensuring full coverage of business operations.
  • Develop and align short-term and long-term technology roadmaps with business objectives.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Partner with project teams to drive adoption and change management strategies for seamless solution integration.
  • Lead cross-functional system design discussions, evaluating trade-offs and long-term impacts.
  • Provide leadership with regular updates on progress, risks, and potential challenges.
  • Define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess solution effectiveness and communicate value.
  • Establish and enforce Salesforce best practices, development standards, and governance policies for scalability, security, and compliance.
  • Work with third-party vendors, consultants, and Salesforce Account Executives to leverage external expertise and ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices, data privacy regulations, and compliance standards across Salesforce and integrated solutions.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience implementing or developing enterprise software solutions.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience building business applications within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce Web Services APIs, including SOAP, REST, Bulk API, Pub/Sub API, Tooling API, and Metadata API.
  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, System Architect, and Application Architect.
  • Proven expertise in designing and building across multiple Salesforce offerings, including Core, Tableau, MuleSoft, and Marketing Cloud.
  • Strong integration skills, particularly in connecting Salesforce with Boomi or other middleware solutions.
  • Global implementation experience, managing deployments across multiple countries and diverse data requirements.
  • Technical leadership in defining strategy and driving projects from inception to completion.
  • Deep knowledge of data management, including structured and unstructured databases, SQL, RDBMS technologies, and SOA design principles.
  • Proficiency in working with large codebases and API design best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD solutions for Salesforce, such as Copado, AutoRABIT, and similar tools.
  • Understanding of UI/UX principles, ensuring user-friendly and effective designs.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies, including AI-powered chatbots, Generative AI, and machine learning.

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #Hybrid

The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $148,000 - $185,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
