Our team, located in Amsterdam, is looking for self-driven, talented people who can help make digital assets available for everyone.

What is the role about?

As a Senior Analytics Engineer at Bitvavo, you are the bridge between Data Engineering and Analytics. You transform raw data into analytics-oriented tables - producing insights and driving the entire organisation. The position requires strong analytical thinking and technical skills as well as effective communication with technical and business stakeholders. You are part of the Data Platform team and collaborate closely with the Data and Analytics Engineers in designing and implementing a world-class Data warehouse.

How will you make an impact?

On a typical day, your work as a Senior Analytics Engineer at Bitvavo will be dynamic and varied. Here's a glimpse of what your days could look like:

  • Development of our Core Data: Work alongside your Engineering Manager and other Analytics Engineer(s) to create, design and maintain core data tables that will enable analysts to position Bitvavo competitively in the evolving crypto market
  • Technological Decision-Making: Contribute to critical decisions regarding technology stacks and architecture, focusing on platform readiness and stability
  • Technical Problem Solving: Tackle and solve complex technical challenges related to reliability, scalability and efficiency, ensuring optimal performance of our systems even at peak load times

How will you be successful?

  • Development Experience: Possess a minimum of 4 years of hands-on development experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in analytics engineering
  • Technical Proficiency: Airflow, Python, SQL, dbt are technologies we use daily.
  • Experience in a tech start-up or scale-up environment
  • Infrastructure Knowledge: Familiarity with the modern Data Engineering stack
  • Knowledge of databases such as MySQL, Redis, and/or MongoDB
  • Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS
