IT Vendor Manager

At Bitvavo we are growing our Procurement & Vendor Management team and are looking for a seasoned IT Vendor Manager to join us. In this role, you’ll oversee and manage relationships with our external ICT/outsourcing service providers, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks such as MiCAR and DORA within a Fintech environment. You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess, monitor and mitigate risks associated with third party engagements and bring our vendor relationships to a next level. 

As a trusted advisor, your primary goal is to safeguard business continuity and the integrity and reputation of Bitvavo in relation to its relevant vendor engagements. With the majority of vendor engagements being ICT-related, your expertise in managing ICT vendor ecosystems and regulatory frameworks such as DORA will be critical. 

How will you make an impact?

• Lead high-impact vendor negotiations and ensure agreements align with regulatory requirements and business goals.
• Develop and execute advanced risk mitigation strategies to address third party vulnerabilities and limit Bitvavo’s exposure to such risks.
• Establish and refine performance metrics for ICT vendors.
• Collaborate with (senior) stakeholders across various domains to drive vendor-related initiatives and to ensure close cooperation with 2nd line functions such as Information Security, Risk, Legal & Compliance.
• Act as the subject matter expert on MiCAR and DORA, ensuring the organization’s compliance. 
• Identify and implement innovative and advanced vendor management practices to improve Bitvavo’s operations in a scalable way.
  
  

How will you be successful?

• You have at least 5+ years of relevant experience in Vendor Management or Procurement,  IT Project Management, Service Delivery Management or IT Risk Management;
• You have experience in managing vendor relations in the (EU) financial sector, particular fintech or a regulated environment is a big plus;
• You have in depth understanding of MiCAR, DORA with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into actionable strategies;
• You have strong knowledge of ICT services, information security and technology driven vendor ecosystems;
• You are an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across various levels of the organization;
• Although being a team player, you can work independently and you take care and responsibility for what you do;
• You have a proactive attitude and a hands-on mentality;
• You thrive in a high-paced, dynamic environment, are proactive, diligent and thorough with a proactive and solutions-first mindset.
