What is the role about?

The Bitvavo UX team is looking for a skilled User Experience Writer (English) and Localisation Specialist (Dutch) to create clear, user-focused content while ensuring an authentic experience for Dutch-speaking users. In this hybrid role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft seamless experiences by combining design and content. You’ll write impactful UX content in English and support Dutch localisation efforts to maintain language consistency, cultural relevance, and high-quality user experiences across all touch points.

How will you make an impact?

• UX writing: Craft clear, user-friendly product content in English, including app features and website copy, aligned with Bitvavo’s voice and tone guidelines.
• User guidance: Ensure users receive the right information at the right time to enhance their product experience.
• Content strategy: With guidance from senior team members, assist in developing and maintaining content frameworks, product narratives, and voice and tone guidelines.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work with designers, researchers, and product managers to align on solutions that meet both user and business needs.
• Localization quality: Ensure Dutch content meets Bitvavo’s standards, maintain localization resources, and review localized content for accuracy and cultural relevance. Translation is handled by a team of linguists.

How will you be successful?

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a UX writer or similar role within a UX or product team
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in English, Journalism, Marketing/Communications, Linguistics, or a related field
• Native-level fluency in Dutch and near-native fluency in English (or vice versa)
• Familiarity with content localization workflows, including style guides and glossaries
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and researchers

Bonus points if you have

• Experience in crypto, fintech, blockchain, or Web3 industries
• Knowledge of best practices for UX writing in financial or tech products
