The Opportunity
This role supports the Director, Post Production & VFX - Southeast Asia & Chinese Language across a variety of duties spanning all scripted titles within the region. This position would organize vital VFX information and workflows with an increasing, growing slate of Original Shows from pre-production through archive & wrap using internal tools, as well as working closely with internal Netflix teams to anticipate challenges, problem-solve, and communicate expectations and needs. Collaborative working with internal teams is a must to ensure our content is maintained at the highest standards and on schedule.

This is a versatile and fast moving position that requires someone who is proactive and able to exercise good judgment and communication.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Track VFX progress of scripted titles produced by Netflix in Southeast Asia and in Chinese Language
Collaborate with producers, directors, and internal stakeholders to define the VFX needs for each project
Support Post Production Managers to review VFX budgets and schedules, ensuring that communication is clear and the vendor’s work aligns with production needs
Create progress reports or summaries to keep the Creative team and other internal stakeholders updated on the status of VFX work
Assist in reviewing VFX shots and assets to ensure that they meet the required technical and creative standards before final approval
Work with Post Production Coordinators to schedule meetings, reviews, and feedback sessions with Creative leads and external stakeholders
Ensure that final VFX shots are delivered according to the production schedule and conform to the correct technical specifications
Maintain folder structure and tracking documents in alignment with the Netflix VFX team and cross-functional partners
In partnership with VFX leadership across APAC, help to design, standardize and implement new workflow/tracking methods for projects to ensure transparency of progress
Setup meetings and maintain up to date notes on current local and potential international VFX vendors in the market
Provide VFX analysis and insights to formulate a regional VFX strategy
Support local partners in improving and innovating the existing production environment, incorporating advancements in Virtual Production and other emerging technologies to align with local circumstances.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in any of the following - VFX Production features or series.
Ability to handle a fast paced environment, supervising several projects in various points of production (from development through delivery)
Ability to create VFX shot breakdown and VFX schedule for regional content during early development
Strong organizational skills with a proactive mentality and creative problem-solving abilities
Familiarity with production software such as Flow production tracking (formerly Shotgrid), Airtable, Filemaker as well Google Suite
A strong understanding of VFX workflow and Pipeline
Working knowledge of third party VFX facilities DI/finishing facilities
Experience with Virtual Production and other emerging technologies
Highly organized, efficient and detail oriented
Comfortable with a fast pace and constant change
Team-player who operates in a fast paced team-oriented setting

Fluency in English, plus at least one additional language like Thai, Chinese or Indonesian is mandatory
Some international travel expected
