We are looking for a Communications Director to further accelerate the momentum of Ogilvy New York, a leading force for our North America region and the location that serves as Ogilvy’s global headquarters. As such, Ogilvy New York helps set the agency standard for creativity and innovation in our client work and relationships, as well as the culture and career experience for our employees. This person will be ambitious, hard-working, and passionate about telling stories – internally and externally – that showcase the impact creativity can on clients’ business performance and in people’s real lives.
The ideal candidate will come to the role with an understanding of the broader marketing landscape and how brands are adapting to changing industries and consumer expectations, as well as experience supporting both internal and external communications. The role will be responsible for collaborating on and driving strategies across media relations, thought leadership, social media and employee communications focused on strengthening Ogilvy New York’s profile in the marketplace, and that of the North America region. They are also responsible for supporting awards, events and industry engagement on behalf of the office and in alignment with the regional priorities and plans. This is a newly created role within the Global Communications team with the potential to touch all areas of Ogilvy’s business, so this person will need to have the energy, drive, personality, and initiative to shape the role into one that contributes notably to the agency’s reputation. This role will report to the SVP of Creative Communications for North America, and work closely with Ogilvy New York’s senior leadership team.
