About the Role:

The Account Director, Influence & Social Strategy will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing integrated social media and influencer marketing strategies for top Ogilvy Health pharmaceutical and medical device clients. This individual will be the strategic lead on both branded and unbranded programs, overseeing owned social channels and influencer collaborations, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and adherence to FDA and FTC regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, strong social media expertise, and proven experience in navigating the complexities of pharmaceutical marketing.

What You'll Do:

  • Strategic Leadership: Be the “go-to” thought leader and expert, driving integration between social media strategy, brand strategy, and engagement planning for Ogilvy Health clients.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships, addressing issues proactively, and providing strategic counsel.
  • Campaign Management: Oversee multiple campaigns from concept to completion, including budgeting, resource allocation, timeline management, and performance analysis.
  • Influencer Marketing Expertise: Lead the strategy, development and execution of influencer marketing programs (both branded and unbranded), identifying relevant influencers, negotiating contracts, managing relationships and building creative content briefs that lead to quality content.
  • Social Channel Management: Develop and implement content strategies for both product and corporate social media channels, ensuring engaging and relevant content that resonates with target audiences. Deep understanding of community management and social listening best practices.
  • Content Development & Creative Briefing: Oversee the development of high-quality creative content, including providing clear and concise briefs to creative teams. Collaborate with copywriters, designers, and video producers to ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with PR, Research & Analytics, Creative, and Paid Media colleagues and partner agencies to ensure seamless campaign execution and maximized impact.
  • FDA and FTC Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a thorough understanding of FDA and FTC regulations related to social media and influencer marketing in the healthcare industry. Ensure all activities are compliant and mitigate potential risks.
  • Measurement & Reporting:Track and analyze campaign performance, providing regular reports to clients and internal stakeholders. Identify key insights and optimize strategies based on data.
  • Innovation & Best Practices: Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends, platforms, and technologies. Identify opportunities to push boundaries and implement new strategies to enhance campaign performance.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Business Development: Contribute to new business initiatives, including assisting with RFP responses and supporting proactive initiatives.

What You'll Need:

  • Healthcare Experience: 6-9 years of experience working with healthcare clients.
  • Influencer Marketing Expertise: Proven track record of developing and managing successful influencer programs for healthcare clients, including both branded and unbranded initiatives.
  • Social Media Management: Proven experience managing social media channels for healthcare brands, including experience managing third party scheduling, monitoring and listening tools.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of FDA and FTC regulations and guidelines related to social media and influencer marketing in the healthcare industry.
  • Analytical Skills: Analytical skills to interpret data, track campaign performance, and generate insightful reports.
  • Flexibility & Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities.

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Pay Range
$75,000$180,000 USD
