Strategic Insights & Data Associate

**About the Role** The EMEA Grocery & Retail business is rapidly growing, and we are looking for talented individuals to join us in supercharging this growth. Data driven insights are critical to driving our strategy forward as we make transformational business decisions and assess their impact on our performance. As a Strategic Insights & Data Associate, you will play a key role within the Strategy & Planning team, driving key reporting and strategic decisions through advanced analytics, both during planning and reporting cycles and on an ad hoc basis. You will also play a key role within the Central Operations team, building dashboards and automations to support operational performance while ensuring data integrity and consistency. Within the wider EMEA GR org you will be seen as a Data expert and will have the opportunity to work directly with local teams to help solve data challenges on an ad hoc basis. **What you will do** - **Reporting & insights:** Develop and implement end-to-end data pipelines for high-priority business KPIs. Create dashboards and reports to provide stakeholders with actionable insights and ensure they understand key metrics clearly. - **Strategic analysis:** Breakdown complex problems and translate ambiguous questions into clear recommendations for leadership and regional teams by synthesizing data-driven insights with the wider business context - **Data Quality & Accuracy:** Monitor and validate data sources to ensure accuracy and reliability, building and maintaining robust data quality checks. - **Scalability & Process Improvement:** Pro-actively identify opportunities to improve processes and data workflows through automations to drive efficiency and scalability. - **Collaboration**: When relevant, work closely with automations, data science and engineering teams to scale solutions, and with local teams to understand local data challenges and implement solutions **What you will need** - **3+ years** of professional work experience in a related field (business operations, tech, data engineering, business intelligence & analytics, consulting, etc.) - **Analytical Mindset**: must be highly proficient in SQL and have experience working with complex datasets using SQL, Excel/Google Sheets (or equivalent tools) to derive insights, validate real-world observations, and synthesize recommendations - **Problem Solving & Communication:** ability to break down ambiguous problems by applying structure and using data-driven insights to solve them as well as ability to communicate insights in a clear and concise manner through high quality presentation skills - **Project Management:** demonstrated ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, plan and prioritize work streams across multiple projects and complete tasks with a high attention to detail - **Business acumen:** strong commercial insight and understanding of profitable growth levers - **Stakeholder management:** proven partner management skills and ability to work together and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. **Nice to have** - **Automations:** experience automating processes using a variety of tools, including Python - **Industry expertise:** experience within tech, grocery, retail or e-commerce are a plus We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently.
