Security Analyst

**About the Role** Uber's Security Response and Investigations team protects and mitigates cyber security threats globally across the company. The org is made of three teams: Investigations, Incident Command, and vSOC (virtual security operations center). You will be joining the vSOC team, as a Security Analyst . The vSOC is responsible for all triage and investigations of potential cyber threats globally. **What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points** \-\-\-\- What the Candidate Will Do ---- 1. Day to Day Security Incident Handling 2. Security Monitoring and end to end case handling 3. Threat Hunting,Incident Coordinator 4. Bug Bounty Case Handling 5. Collaborating with stakeholders and senior security teams \-\-\-\- Basic Qualifications ---- 1. Candidate with minimum experience of 1+ years in Security Operations and Incident Response 2. Prior experience of working in 24\*7 model and investigations 3. Knowledge of various security methodologies and processes, and technical security solutions (SIEM,EDR etc) 4. In-depth knowledge of security concepts, attacks, threat vectors and TTPs 5. Ability to quickly build and communicate quantitative and qualitative reports on trends 6. Demonstrates experience and understanding of cyber risks,Data and Incident Handling 7. hands-on experience on Threat Hunting \-\-\-\- Preferred Qualifications ---- 1. Good understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals. This includes but is not limited to network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP stack) and security, system security, email security, etc. 2. 2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role. 3. 1+ year of hands-on experience with security monitoring and response in a SOC environment. 4. Strong problem-solving skills and Threat hunting experience. 5. Good communication skills. 6. Experience working crisis events for a global company. Ability to work across geographically distributed teams. 7. Certifications in Security is a plus.
