## **About the role:** ## The focus of the Merchant Optimization team in the delivery marketplace is to ensure the best merchant selection for consumers, innovate on pricing models for merchants to effectively participate in the marketplace to achieve their business objective with highest ROI while aligning the Uber's Delivery business by driving growth and profitability. ## We are actively seeking individuals who excel in problem solving and critical thinking, are proficient in coding with proven track record of learning and growth, and prior experience in highly scalable distributed systems. What the Candidate Will Do 01. Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software solutions 02. Collaborate with product managers, cross engineering teams, data scientists and other partners to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications 03. Identify opportunities and lead of the entire development lifecycle end-to-end, from architecture design and coding to testing and deployment 04. Conduct thorough code reviews, offering constructive feedback to maintain high code quality and elevate coding standards 05. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on our software systems and recommending appropriate integrations or improvements 06. Mentor and guide other engineers, providing technical leadership and encouraging a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment 07. Hands-on experience in productionizing machine learning or deep learning models in production 08. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$198,000 per year - USD$220,000 per year. For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$198,000 per year - USD$220,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
