**About the Role** We are seeking Data Analysts to be part of our GSS DaaS team who will support Uber’s internal Operations teams across the globe and drive the analysis behind various business-related decisions. You will work along with the Program Managers and the Client team to put together processes and deliver on the requirements. For this role you need to be comfortable with numbers, good with logical reasoning and generating insights. **What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points** You will perform a range of activities to analyze Uber’s Delivery, Mobility & Core Services data sources to improve business efficiency & effectiveness and deliver qualitative insights as well as partnering with Operations teams to build analytics solutions. The ideal candidate is experienced working with large data sets and data visualization, as well as being passionate about data and analytics. The following describes what you may be doing day-to-day: 01. Embed within Uber’s Ops team and develop expertise around all aspects of their data 02. Deep dive into historical data to understand their sources, feature sets and identify patterns 03. Write queries, perform ad-hoc analysis and create reporting to ensure the team is moving towards smarter decisions 04. Perform analytical deep dives to drive product/strategy road-map 05. Build interactive and visually appealing dashboards using data visualization tools such as Tableau, or Looker. 06. Translate analytical solutions into useful insights and recommendations for the technical and non-technical audience in a clear, concise and persuasive way 07. Get pumped up by deciphering huge data sets and cutting through irrelevant distractions to get to the heart of the core data questions 08. Attention to detail, accuracy is a must! 09. Humble and scrappy - not afraid to take on lower level projects when it will clear roadblocks for the team 10. Demonstrate good documentation practices and able to meet deadlines **\-\-\-\- Basic Qualifications ----** 1. Minimum 3 years experience working in business intelligence, analytics, data engineering, or a similar role 2. Ability to write complex SQL queries including experience working with large data sets and Hive database 3. Ability to code in Python for setting up Automations 4. Data pipelining / ETL experience 5. Fluency in communicating data insights (Methods, Results & Actions) with the peer group 6. Team player and able to multitask 7. Ability to work with remote teams and within the Australia time zone 8. Able to raise the bar for quality/efficiency within the team **\-\-\-\- Preferred Qualifications ----** 1. BS / Masters in Maths, statistics, science or any other quantitative discipline 2.
