**About the Role**
The Global Public Safety Response Team (PSRT) consists of highly motivated professionals who are responsible for managing data requests from law enforcement and public safety agencies.These often involve emergency circumstances which require an immediate response. Every request is unique and must be checked for legal compliance prior to commencing exhaustive research to identify the exact data requested.
We are seeking a highly-motivated, detail-oriented person with a strong work ethic to join our team of privacy and safety specialists processing requests for user data. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate excellent judgment, prioritize effectively and work collaboratively whilst under pressure; communicating effectively with partners. The candidate should enjoy a fast-paced environment, dealing with real-time emergencies and have strong analytical skills.
**What the Candidate Will Do**
- Evaluate and respond to data requests in a manner consistent with the privacy and security of business and customer information, in accordance with the law and with relevant policies and procedures.
- Prioritize, assess and accurately respond to legal requests for user data from public safety agencies and court officials within SLAs.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders through clear, concise and rational communication.
- Protect the privacy of our users' data through a robust analysis of all requests against our stringent legal and ethical requirements.
- Follow local government and Uber's policies in responding to requests from law enforcement in a timely manner.
- Drive safety outcomes through the application of critical thinking and adherence to the processes laid down in the Global PSRT playbook.
- Allocate issues relating to safety or disclosure to leadership or subject matter experts for appropriate resolution where necessary.
- Be flexible and prepared to cover weekend shifts and public holidays as necessary.
**Basic Qualifications**
- 3+ years of professional experience in Trust & Safety, investigations, and/or intelligence analysis roles
- Experience handling law enforcement and public health requests
- English and Portuguese fluency. Spanish is a plus.
- Strong data analysis skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
- A degree of legal, data analytics or investigatory experience is a plus
- General knowledge of privacy legislation: Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA) and/or General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
- IAPP Certification for applicable region preferred
